today i wondered is it possible to have an extreme belief in a certain cause, or to be total in your conviction to stand for something, and not be considered a prude or a  killjoy or a spoilsport. because certain things have become too lax in this world. there are certain issues that have been reduced to jokes, anecdotes, trivial nonsense even though they operate under the surface, every single day, subtle enough not to make a great disturbance, yet poisonous enough to do its work slowly and steadily.

what i mean is,
i read somewhere that
if everybody likes you/you are popular, then you are doing something wrong
if you stand up for something that you know is right, inevitably you are not going to be the most well-liked person. the fact that you have to stand up for it already implies you are going against considerable opposition.

what i mean is,
i want people not to like me
for a good reason
like Jesus
or Martin Luther King Jr
like that
a baptism of hatred
that's when you know
you have arrived
