'Conquest'

'Love conquers all'
Even conquers the time where you
         don't deserve love at all

Conquers the earthworms burrowing
     into the soil
Conquers the oceans fleeing to the clouds
Conquers the leopard who
          is licking my bones clean

Conquers you,
conquering me

So naturally
As if you knew that there would
always be another chance
